The Rivoli Eyezone Stores, both new and existing, needed a new visual presence in order to make its collaboration with Zeiss visible.
Based on the Zeiss Shop Design the Architecture was adapted to the market in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Katar and also to the special needs of the Eyezone Chain combined with an architectural and contemporary new design.
The concept is to give every store a sense of uniformity in form and atmosphere while also allowing each to have their own spirit.
As part of the brief, the stores should be distinct and individual but also recognised as part of a retail chain.
The new shop design illustrates the first-class frame collection, the high quality of eye measurement and consulting services combined with the precision of the Zeiss lenses.
Monochrome white and straight architectural lines stand out against typical elaborate Arabic design.
The special shelf design forms unexpected rooms with the floating shelf system becoming a global and consistent design principle of the EyeZone Stores.
The white shelves create floating rooms with no edges and in some of the stores they merge and become part of the ceiling.
Recessed downlights are discretly lightening up the area. All shelves and furniture such as counter and display tables have integrated LED strips for indirect lightening.
The open shop front transforms the interior space to a large extroverted showroom, inviting passers-by to enter. Assorted flat screens, cosy lounges, reflected designer lamps, brand logos, mirrors and special designed furniture create an unique store to enjoy and experience consulting differently.
Besides the frame and lens competence, the new extroverted shop design makes the Rivoli / Zeiss stores a prime address of purchasing glasses in the United Arab Emirates.
